Coming to a cinema quite near you

The new Hippodrome programme hit the shelves today and here are a taster of what's to come.

March: Recently-released films include The Road, The Lovely Bones, Nine, The Boys are Back, The Wolfman, Invictus, A Single Man. Classics include Breakfast and Tiffany's, Harold & Maude, A Matter of Life and Death, Guys & Dolls.

April: Recently-released films will include Alice in Wonderland, Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang, The Last Station, Micmacs, Precious, Shutter Island. Classics include Monty Python & the Holy Grail, Rocky Horror Picture Show and we're gonna need a bigger boat 'cos Jaws hits town.

May: This month sees The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Date Night, Kick-Ass, Whip it!, Remember Me, Repo Man (not the Alex Cox movie), Cemetery Junction and Robin Hood. Classics include Citizen Kane, Cinema Paradiso. Plus there's Carmen for opera lovers.
