This fotie is remarkable in many ways.
Still emotionally scarred by the Hampden Riots a year earlier, a young Binnz decided to join the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders to obtain some discipline in his wayward lifestyle. Unfortunately this wid aw be in vain as he would go on to become one of Scotland's notorious fitba' casuals, later immortalised as the comatose Roy Strang in the Irvine Welsh novel "Marabou Stork Nightmares".
Also in the pic we can see Binnz'z faithful companion for many years Sally the Dug. She is resting after enjoyn a large bone oot i McBlaine's the butchers. It must have been aboot the Fair gaun by the chief lady's airch in the backgroond. Binnz also appears to be carrying a small auld lady in his satchel, but this is, of course, simply that ghost fi Carriden Graveyaird who has foalied us since Campbell tain measurements i the Angel Heidstane's hands in relation ti the setting sun.
