"You're gonna need a bigger boat..."

The first anniversary of the Hippodrome reopening is upon us and they are showing some classics as well as the new Scorsese movie Shutter Island. Movies from 1974 (the year the cinema closed) being shown are The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Jaws. See the sidebar for dates and times.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail is fi 1974?

I first saw it on VHS at St. Mungo's Video Club in 1984!!

That and Blazing Saddles.

Remember the "Video nasties" like;

* SS Experiment Camp
* I "howk" on yer Grave
* The Hills huv een
* The Sound of Music
* Gone wi the wind

Kevin Martin (jined the Navy) was the first laddie I kent that had a VHS in his hoose, i'm sure it cost his Dad Sammy a fortune at the time.
