Theatres of Dreams

No:273
The Tap i the Fountain Stadium
Victoria Park, Bo'ness

Now sadly neglected, this fitba park wis the scene of some legendary games if fitba between Gpans Cosmos, Links United and Bridgeness Thistle.

Many questions remain unanswered - How did aboot 30 wee players fit oan a pitch that size?An why did we insist oan playin in a park whaur it took 30 meenits ti retrieve the baw when it went oot fur a shy and landed doon it Noddy's?

It wiz a aboot ability. Playin oan a wee pitch hoaned oor ability ti maister the art i control oar the ba. Something that iz sadly lackin in the professional game.

Aye, but did they really play there?
When I lived in Grange Loan an wiz a Granger, if the boys fae G'Pans or G'Dyke came up/doon we used to simply walk through the gates (or hop ower the wall) and use the Schools fitba pitch.

It's like playin at a powerleague pitch. Must have been ahead of our time.
