Sustained BOOB Bo'ness Hill Climb Campaign a Success


It jist shows ye! Eftir cryin fur the return i motorsport ti its rightful hame i Bo'ness in an earlier post in 2006 - see here - the BOOB huv come up trumps again.

The Bo'ness Hill Climb Revival noo exists as a club, and is noo affiliatit with the Motor Sports Association (MSA). The first event wul be held oan August 9th/10th, 2008. The meeting wul be for club members only and wul be open to pre c.1973 cars withoot the aid i aerodynamic "wings" and running oan treaded tyres.

Various car clubs will also be displayin their members' cars in front of Kinneil Hoose. Wee Gill is particularly keen ti see the 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera n hus threatened ti make advances ti the driver if a dinny git ma act thegithir.

Even wee Sir Jackie Stewart hus sent his support sayin, "I, of course, personally spent many happy hours at Bo'ness". Nae doobt Jackie's wheels wur a veritable Lon Chaney Magnet back then.

Now that is Spooky!!!

Auld geezer doon in the big smoke asked me where i wis fi.

On answering Sunny Bo'ness he asked if they still did the hill climb at kinneil!!!!

Goosebumps!!!

He used to watch it years ago when he worked in Kinneil Colliery.
