St Mary pupils have no right to get all self-righteous. Under the Race Relations Act 1976, gypsies are designated a ethnic minority so dressing up as gypsies is just as racist. QED.

I'll think you'll find that the St.Mary's presentees of 1969 entitled "Wraggle Taggle Gipsy Travellers" was an affection homage to the colourful costume and character of the travelling community in music and dance. Indeed a letter of praise was received by the Jurnal that year from a group of travellers who were illegally encamped near the Crookies.

I think it's Stewart Avenue. I have another photo and there's a building which could be the old St Mary's School at the top of the bog.
